Our Mission

This is our story and we’re stickin’ to it.

If you’re in the 50+ club, Dave on the Rocks has got your back. This lifestyle hub was built to empower you with insights and articles regarding your health, wealth, fitness and wellness. It was built to keep you up to date on the latest news related to aging. And, primarily, it was built to entertain you with content that dances on the edge, filled with wit, grit and irreverence. Even though this site is serious about flipping the script on ageism, it promises never to take itself too seriously. Why? Because where’s the fun in that. Aging is a vibrant source, and Dave on the Rocks is here to prove it.

Meet the Gang

The ragtag misfits who help run this joint.

David George is the Founder and Executive Editor of Dave on the Rocks. He’s an award-winning advertising creative director and author, a two-time Cannes Lion winner, and at twelve years old he was voted Camper of the Week by the teenage counselors who wanted to get to know his older sister. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from San Diego State University where he also took classes like Frisbee, much to the dismay of his dear sainted mother. He likes skiing, cycling, boxing (punching bags, not faces), music, good food, good times, and the warm “Kentucky hug” of a fine bourbon. What he doesn’t like is pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, or that song.

T. Vasabhuti, designer extraordinaire, was born on the other side of the Pacific with “Visual” being his primary language. Advertising, design and illustration are his day jobs, but he still finds time for his passion – photography. He earned his MA in Graphic Design in So Cal and his BFA in Bangkok, Thailand. He loves traveling as long as someone else plans it for him. He’s a few people person. If someone asks him if the glass is half full or half empty, he’ll answer “I’m not thirsty. “ He’s neither optimistic nor pessimistic, just realistic. Food and coffee top his list of likes. Oh, and his real name is Theera but it looks too close to Theresa, so he just goes by T.
