Zoloft or Ziti?
Pasta lovers are a happy bunch and now it’s backed by science. Italian scientists hooked people up to wires and found a plate of pasta lights up the brain like a favorite song or a last-minute sports win. It’s the complex carbs (and, my guess, childhood “comfort food” memories) that drip-feed serotonin, kick out endorphins, and take the edge off life. Even cooked, pasta hangs on to its B-vitamins, turning tryptophan into pure mood. Spaghetti Bolognese, marinara, aglio e olio…pick your poison. Unless you’ve got Celiac disease or a doctor breathing down your neck, there’s no reason to quit. Feeling low? Eat some pasta. And everything will be right with the world.
