Increase Your Size With Vitamin D
The size of your telomeres, that is. Telomeres are the little shoelace-like caps on your DNA that keep your cells from unraveling like a thrift-store sweater. Longer ones mean better odds of a longer life and fewer age-related breakdowns. And now, according to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, a landmark study says popping 2,000 IUs of vitamin D a day might actually slow that unraveling. Over a four-year period, the vitamin D group aged just three years, genetically speaking, than the placebo crowd. Not immortality, but if you can buy yourself a little extra time for less than a Mickey D’s cup of coffee, why wouldn’t you?
