“Tight fists don’t catch much.”
Life’s short, money’s tight, and most of us grow up thinking there’s never enough. And yes, financially, you’ve got to take care of yourself first. It’s like putting on your oxygen mask before little Johnny’s. But – aha! — once you’ve got a cushion, giving isn’t an obligation, it’s liberation. The scarcity mindset that has you white knuckling every dollar makes life stressful. Generosity trains your mind to expect abundance. Every small act—$10 here, an hour of volunteering there—sends a signal that there’s even more out there. The universe, or luck, or whatever you want to call it, takes notice. You give, doors crack open. You give more, the hinges are blown off. So give, baby, give! Giving sets you free. And freedom feels a lot like abundance.
